Job Summary

The City of Essen is seeking two Data Scientists to join the ESH - Essener Systemhaus - team, focusing on shaping the digital future of the city's operations. This role involves comprehensive data processing and engineering tasks, including preparing unstructured data, analyzing and processing large datasets, and integrating disparate data sources for information extraction and visualization. A core responsibility is the development and implementation of various AI applications and dashboards aimed at optimizing customer processes, alongside supporting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives. Candidates must possess a background in IT, mathematics, or a related field, coupled with specific professional experience as an AI Engineer or Data Scientist. Essential skills include Python and SQL programming, knowledge of DevOps/MLOps practices for deploying AI products, and experience with JavaScript frameworks for full-stack development.
