Job Summary

As a Project Manager for IT & Communication Projects at Airbus Secure Land Communications, you will serve as the central point of contact for customers regarding all aspects of project planning and execution. Based in Ulm, you will lead teams to deliver professional mobile radio and tactical communication solutions, including nationwide security radio networks for German federal authorities. Your daily responsibilities involve managing work packages, tracking action items, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle—from creating structural plans and resource requirements to managing supplier requirements and conducting the final 'Handover to Care' milestone. This role is unique for its international scope, requiring collaboration with product management and development departments in Finland and France, while also supporting sales and bid management for new business opportunities. It offers a high-impact environment within the aerospace and defense sector, focusing on critical communication infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Telecommunications Engineering, Communication Technology, or a comparable qualification. Project Management Certification (e.g., PMI/PMP or Airbus-internal 'Bronze' level) is required.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in project management
  • Professional experience in the military or defense industry is preferred
  • Proven track record in managing project goals related to quality, deadlines, and costs
  • Experience in international collaboration and supplier coordination
