Job Summary

This role offers a leadership opportunity as the Technical Operations Manager for the wastewater disposal department in the Samtgemeinde Bruchhausen-Vilsen. You will be responsible for the strategic management and operational safety of a 600km sewage network and 50km rainwater network. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing technical operations, optimizing digital infrastructure (GIS), and leading civil engineering projects from planning through to construction supervision. You will act as the client representative for investment and new construction measures, ensuring efficient network and pumping station planning. The position is unique for its flexibility, offering both full-time and part-time (minimum 30 hours) options, mobile work possibilities, and a comprehensive public service benefits package (TVöD EG 11). Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Civil Engineering, Municipal Water Management, Environmental Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in civil engineering or wastewater management
  • Experience in technical operations management and decision-making
  • Proven track record in project planning and control for infrastructure measures
  • Experience with digital infrastructure and canal information systems
  • Experience in public sector regulations or TVöD frameworks is beneficial
