Job Summary

This full-time research position at the Chair of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) offers a unique opportunity to engage in high-level theoretical and experimental research. Based within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the successful candidate will conduct research in the fields of EMC and Power Quality, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities including a 10m absorber chamber, a mode-stirred chamber, and a GTEM cell. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing EMC measurement methods, analyzing electromagnetic coupling in large-scale systems, and supervising student projects. Additionally, the role involves contributing to both German and English-language teaching activities. This position is particularly attractive for ambitious researchers as it explicitly supports and encourages the pursuit of a doctoral degree (PhD) within a three-year fixed-term contract. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's or Diploma) in Electrical Engineering or Physics.

Experience

  • Professional experience or advanced academic knowledge in Electromagnetic Compatibility, RF technology, or Power Quality

  • Experience in academic environments, including the supervision of student work and organizational tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to perform independent scientific work at a high level
