Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a quantitative researcher to join a DFG-funded project focused on the experimental analysis and economic impact of AI-supported lie detection technology in negotiations. The Research Associate will be responsible for designing and conducting laboratory experiments, collaborating with neuro-information technology partners, and analyzing the economic consequences of using facial data-based AI for lie detection. Key duties include publishing research results, presenting at conferences, and assisting with grant applications for follow-up projects. Candidates must possess a quantitative Master's degree in fields like Computer Science, Economics (Behavioral/Experimental), or Business Informatics, coupled with strong programming skills in R or Python. This role offers the possibility of pursuing a PhD and working at the intersection of economics and neuro-information technology.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent (Diplom) in Business Informatics, Business Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Economics (especially Behavioral Economics or Experimental Economic Research), Computer Science, or a comparable field with a quantitative focus.

Experience

  • Professional experience in quantitative, theoretical, and experimental work related to lie detection, AI, and Human-Machine Interaction
  • Experience in organizing and managing research projects
  • Experience in academic teaching (1 SWS/semester hour per week)
