Job Summary

In this role, you will join a team of environmental pioneers dedicated to air quality and emission control. As a Measurement Technician for Air and Emissions, you will spend approximately 80% of your time in the field, primarily within your region and occasionally nationwide. Your daily responsibilities include performing discontinuous emission measurements at industrial facilities such as power plants and chemical factories, ensuring compliance with statutory limits. You will conduct functional tests and calibrations of automatic measuring equipment, perform on-site data plausibility checks, and maintain sophisticated measuring instruments. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or degree with a technical or scientific focus (e.g., Environmental/Process Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Laboratory Assistant, Environmental Technician, Chimney Sweep, or Bachelor's in Natural Sciences).

Experience

  • Professional experience or background in technical or scientific fields such as environmental/process engineering, chemistry, or environmental protection technology
  • Experience in technical field service or outdoor measurement activities
  • Experience in emission measurement technology and knowledge of relevant standards (BImSchG, TA Luft, VDI) is preferred
  • Experience in communicating with customers and authorities

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights (no fear of heights) are mandatory. Readiness for regional and occasional nationwide travel (approx. 80% field service) including overnight stays is required.
