Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position within the Medical Information Technology (MIT) department involves managing critical infrastructure for a designated Critical Infrastructure (KRITIS) healthcare organization. As a Server Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, security, and performance of the data center. Your duties include administering virtualization environments (VMWare, KVM), managing storage and SAN systems, and maintaining both Windows and Linux server environments. You will play a key role in IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring high availability and data protection compliance. This role is unique for its focus on hospital IT development, offering the chance to implement security and service concepts in a high-stakes environment. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of sound professional experience in system integration and IT administration
  • Proven experience in the provision and operation of secure IT environments
  • Experience in the development and expansion of IT security and service concepts is preferred
  • Professional experience in a KRITIS (Critical Infrastructure) or healthcare environment is beneficial
