Job Summary
The Hygiene Institute of the Ruhr Area is seeking a Natural Scientist to join their Drinking and Bathing Water Hygiene department in Gelsenkirchen. This role involves providing expert technical advice to drinking water suppliers and pool operators while overseeing the daily operations of chemical-analytical laboratories, sampling teams, and administrative staff. A significant aspect of this position is the planned succession into the Department Head role, which includes full personnel responsibility. You will ensure compliance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards and collaborate across various technical departments. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed university degree with a focus on natural sciences (e.g., Water Science, Food Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry).
Experience
- Professional experience in water supply, drinking water, or bathing water hygiene is preferred
- Practical experience working with quality management systems specifically DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025
- Experience in technical team coordination and laboratory supervision
- Proven track record in professional communication and client advisory services
