Job Summary
As a Protection Systems Engineer specializing in medium voltage, you will serve as a vital technical link between project management and on-site clients within the renewable energy sector. Your daily responsibilities involve conducting comprehensive protection and functional tests on medium-voltage systems, including photovoltaic plants, transformer stations, and battery storage units. You will be responsible for commissioning protection devices, calculating setting data, and analyzing measurement results to ensure system reliability and safety. This role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy field work and travel, as you will be frequently visiting sites across Germany, Austria, and occasionally Italy. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician or equivalent; ideally further qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience as an Electronics Technician or in a comparable electrical role
- Initial experience in protection technology or e-mobility is preferred
- Experience in independent and reliable field work
- Proven experience in documenting technical test results and communicating deviations
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license is mandatory. High willingness to travel within Germany, Austria, and Italy is required.
