Job Summary

As a Patent Attorney and authorized representative before the European Patent Office at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT, you will manage a diverse portfolio of intellectual property matters with a focus on patents and designs. Your daily responsibilities include advising clients, drafting and filing national and international patent applications, and representing clients before the EPO and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA). You will also conduct patent searches, provide expert legal opinions, and mentor junior staff and patent engineers. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in electrical engineering or physics who enjoys working independently on complex technical and legal issues. Required Skills

Education

Qualified Patent Attorney (German) and/or European Patent Attorney; University degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or Communications Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience as an authorized representative before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) and/or the European Patent Office (EPO)
  • Extensive scientific and technical background in Electrical Engineering, IT, Physics, or Communications Engineering
  • Practical experience in handling patent infringement cases
  • Experience in supervising junior patent professionals and patent engineers
  • Proven track record in drafting and prosecuting national and international patent applications
