Job Summary

The City of Dresden is seeking a Strategic Access Protection Coordinator to join its Public Order Office. In this vital safety role, you will be responsible for the conceptual design and strategic management of access protection measures for public events and urban spaces. Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting risk analyses, evaluating security situations, and developing comprehensive protection concepts that balance safety with accessibility, delivery routes, and historical preservation. You will act as a key liaison between municipal authorities, external service providers, and interest groups, ensuring that all technical and personnel resources are effectively deployed. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma, Bachelor, or Master) from a University, University of Applied Sciences (FH), or Vocational Academy (BA); alternatively, Administrative Specialist (VWA) or completion of the Administrative Training Course II (Angestelltenlehrgang II).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the field of security management or access protection
  • Experience in developing security concepts and risk assessments for public events
  • Experience in managing external service providers and logistics
  • Experience in committee work and inter-agency networking
  • Experience in public administration or regulatory law is preferred
