Job Summary

This part-time (50%) position supports a newly established research group led by Prof. Sevin Turcan at the University Hospital Bonn (UKB). The group focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of brain tumors using advanced imaging and multi-omics approaches. As a Lab Administrator, you will be the central organizational hub, managing daily administrative operations and acting as a liaison between the research team and hospital administration. Your day-to-day tasks include coordinating correspondence, scheduling meetings, managing onboarding processes for new team members, and handling the procurement of laboratory reagents and equipment. Additionally, you will oversee travel arrangements and assist with basic budget tracking and cost center management. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working in an international scientific environment and wants to help shape the internal structures of a growing research department. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in Office Management, Administration, Medical/Legal Assistance, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in administrative roles, ideally within an academic, clinical, or research environment
  • Experience in office organization, administration, or as a medical/legal assistant
  • Desirable: Familiarity with the administrative processes of German universities or clinics and the German scientific system
  • Proven experience in coordinating with multi-disciplinary and international teams
