Job Summary
This role is for an experienced and motivated Technical Assistant (BTA/MTA) to join the research group of Prof. Dr. med. Kaan Boztug at the University Hospital Bonn, focusing on pediatric immunology and rare immune disorders. The successful candidate will primarily support cutting-edge research projects utilizing zebrafish as a model system, working under the direct supervision of a senior scientist. Day-to-day tasks include the maintenance, breeding, and care of zebrafish lines modeling monogenic immune disorders, performing microinjection, and generating mutant lines using CRISPR/Cas9. The position requires strong organizational skills to manage experimental records and laboratory organization, while collaborating closely with PhD students and postdocs. Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Technical Assistant (BTA) or equivalent qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in zebrafish maintenance and handling
- Experience with breeding, genotyping, and phenotyping zebrafish
- Knowledge of animal welfare regulations and laboratory safety standards
