This position is part of the TruSpace research project at the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, a collaborative initiative between scientific institutions and industrial partners focused on satellite and high-frequency technology. As a Research Associate, you will lead the independent scientific processing of project tasks with a specific focus on designing RF front-ends for satellite communication systems. Your daily work will involve the development, simulation, and optimization of analog and mixed-signal RF circuits, utilizing open-source design flows. You will also oversee the manufacturing of RF integrated circuits (RF-ICs) and perform metrological characterization. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, High-Frequency Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in analog and mixed-signal RF circuit design
  • Experience in the design of RF modules, particularly IQ modulation and local oscillators
  • Experience in RF-IC design and manufacturing support is desirable
  • Experience in the metrological characterization of RF circuits and systems is preferred
  • Experience in space or satellite communication is an advantage
