Job Summary
The University of Wuppertal is seeking a dedicated IT Specialist to join their Center for Information and Media Processing (ZIM). In this role, you will be responsible for the conceptual design, implementation, and evaluation of groupware and collaboration solutions, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365. Your daily tasks will include managing the central Exchange mail system, migrating existing email solutions, and providing 2nd and 3rd-level support for M365 infrastructure. You will also play a key role in the university-wide rollout of M365 and manage hybrid environments. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Information Technology or a related IT field, or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration).
Experience
- Professional experience in information technology or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience if applying with a vocational qualification (Fachinformatiker)
- Proven experience in administering Active Directory and MS Exchange On-Premise
- Practical experience in automating administrative tasks using PowerShell
- Experience in migrating existing mail solutions and managing M365 hybrid environments

- Fixed-term contract for 2 years. Applicants must not have had any previous employment relationship with the University of Wuppertal (including student assistant roles). Location: Wuppertal, Germany. Full-time or part-time options available.
