Job Summary

As the Director of the Media Center for the City of Rostock's Office for Schools and Sports, you will lead the strategic implementation of IT infrastructure across educational and athletic facilities. Your daily responsibilities involve managing a dedicated team, overseeing budget allocations, and optimizing administrative workflows. You will be the primary architect for the city's Media Development Plan, ensuring that digital learning solutions are modern, secure, and sustainable. This role requires high-level coordination with political stakeholders, external service providers, and school administrations to manage software life cycles and hardware procurement. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Administrative Informatics.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of proven practical experience, preferably in public administration or school administration
  • Professional experience in IT infrastructure management and managing external service providers
  • Proven leadership and management experience with strong supervisory skills
  • Experience in managing IT projects and conceptualizing technical frameworks
  • Professional experience in administrative and budgetary law
