Job Summary

This role involves the comprehensive administration and technical oversight of the IT infrastructure for the Municipal Pension Funds of Westphalia-Lippe (KVW). As a System Engineer within the IT Service Management department, you will manage virtual server environments, storage solutions, and network security systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities include configuring hypervisors, managing AD-integrated server systems, overseeing backup landscapes, and maintaining Linux servers using Docker. You will also provide second-level support and contribute to various IT and cooperation projects. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Computer Science, Technology, Mathematics, or a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker), IT Systems Electronics Technician, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the administration of virtual server environments using VMware ESX/vSphere
  • Experience in managing storage solutions, specifically NetApp
  • Experience in the administration of server operating systems and Active Directory
  • Practical experience with NAC solutions and hybrid M365 environments
  • Experience in IT project management and IT service management processes
  • Experience in configuring network security, firewalls, and backup landscapes
