Job Summary
This role involves the analysis of human and veterinary medicines and raw materials at the State Office for Health and Occupational Safety (LfGA NRW) in Münster. As part of the 'Drug Testing' specialist group, the successful candidate will perform product controls, identify and quantify impurities, and analyze illegal drugs using advanced techniques such as HPLC and GC-MS. The position includes adapting control methods from the European Pharmacopoeia and participating in method validation under DIN ISO 17025 accreditation. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and career starters to work in a meaningful public service role. The position is a fixed-term parental leave replacement until August 2027, offering a collaborative environment, flexible working hours, and the stability of a state authority. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of pharmacists and engineers to ensure drug safety and public health protection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) or Chemical Laboratory Technician.
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical laboratory analysis or pharmaceutical testing
- Practical experience with modern chromatographic analysis methods (HPLC/GC-MS)
- Experience with quality management systems such as GMP or DIN ISO 17025 is preferred
- Experience in drug testing or identifying undeclared active ingredients is an advantage
