As a Policy Advisor for Skilled Labor Securing at the Berlin Chamber of Skilled Crafts (Handwerkskammer Berlin), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the economic success of 30,000 member companies by addressing the critical shortage of skilled workers. This role involves the strategic development and implementation of projects focused on labor migration, workforce potential, and 'New Work' within the crafts sector. You will act as a key liaison between the chamber and various stakeholders, including public administrations, associations, and craft guilds. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing labor market policies at local, national, and EU levels, managing high-profile public events, and collaborating with the communications department on political campaigns. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master, Diploma, or State Examination) in Economics, Law, Political Science, or a comparable field.

  • Proven track record in analyzing political processes and economic issues
  • Experience in representing organizational interests in committees and advisory boards

  • This is a full-time position (39.4 hours/week) limited until June 30, 2027, as a maternity and parental leave replacement. Candidates must be available to work in Berlin with the possibility of mobile work after six months.
