Job Summary
This role involves training future master craftsmen and apprentices at the Education and Technology Center of the Berlin Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HWK). As an Instructor, you will deliver both theoretical and practical lessons in electrical engineering and information technology, preparing participants for real-world professional challenges. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing teaching units, developing new educational concepts, and ensuring that all technical equipment and materials are maintained to high standards. You will also play a key role in updating curriculum content to reflect modern industry standards. This position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about adult education and wants to contribute to the development of the next generation of skilled workers. The role offers a collaborative environment within a significant public-sector institution, providing stability through a collective agreement (TV-L) and opportunities for professional development and health management.
Required Skills
Education
Master Craftsman certificate (Meister) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable university degree. Instructor Aptitude Ordinance (AEVO) certification is an advantage.
Experience
- Extensive practical experience in the field of electrical installation is mandatory
- Professional experience as a lecturer or instructor is preferred
- Expertise and experience in DIN VDE standards and associated commissioning measurements
- Experience in developing educational content and training concepts
- Experience in adult qualification and vocational training

Additional
- The position is initially limited to a one-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of permanent extension. Candidates must be willing to work 39.4 hours per week in Berlin. Applicants must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to continuous learning in new technical subjects.
