Job Summary
This is a fully funded PhD position within the International PhD Programme (IPP) in Mainz, specifically within the research group of Ari Waisman. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research on the interaction between antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and T cells during central nervous system autoimmunity, using a mouse model for multiple sclerosis. Day-to-day activities involve utilizing advanced technologies such as the LIPSTIC-system, sophisticated mouse genetic systems, single-cell sequencing, and high-dimensional flow cytometry. This role is ideal for ambitious scientists seeking to work in a multidisciplinary, international environment with access to state-of-the-art core facilities. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent in Biology, Biomedicine, or a related Life Sciences field.
Experience
- Professional experience in life sciences research
- Experience with cellular and molecular laboratory methods
