Job Summary

This position offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious scientist to pursue a PhD within the International PhD Programme (IPP) in Mainz, specifically within the research group of Daniel Sasca. The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge project titled 'Targeting p300/CREBBP to Enhance Interferon Signaling in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms.' Day-to-day responsibilities include characterizing how p300/CREBBP inhibition reshapes gene expression and stem cell states in blood cancer models, assessing immune system interactions, and evaluating therapeutic combinations with Interferon-α. This role is highly attractive as it provides a fully funded position within a vibrant community of over 200 international students, access to state-of-the-art core facilities, and professional skills training. The project bridges fundamental molecular biology with translational medicine, aiming to develop targeted strategies for treating myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN).
