Job Summary

This role is based at the Chair of Functional Materials and Material Systems at Montanuniversität Leoben. As a Materials Science Technician, you will be responsible for the microstructural characterization and analysis of thin films and functional surfaces. Your day-to-day activities involve evaluating and interpreting measurement results, as well as adapting and optimizing characterization methods. Beyond technical analysis, you will play a vital role in the academic environment by training and supporting students and scientific staff in their research projects and assisting with university teaching activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a modern research facility with a strong focus on functional materials. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Materials, Surface, Testing, or Laboratory Technician, or a comparable technical qualification.

  • Experience in training or supporting students and researchers in a laboratory setting
  • Proven track record of precise and systematic working methods
