Job Summary

As a Telecommunications Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and integration of DWDM systems at core network locations. Your daily activities will involve conducting high-level optical measurements using tools like Spectrum Analyzers and performing 100G RFC 2544 tests to ensure network integrity. You will be tasked with the maintenance and repair of active transmission technology during ongoing operations, ensuring minimal disruption. A key part of the role includes documenting all technical procedures to maintain high quality standards. This position is particularly attractive as it offers a permanent contract within a major international telecommunications group, featuring a long-term assignment of up to 48 months with a very high probability of permanent takeover. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in an (electro)technical field, such as IT Systems Electronician, Electronics Technician for Information and Telecommunications Technology, or Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in telecommunications or network technology
  • Experience in planning, installation, and commissioning of system and network technology
  • Practical experience in Rack & Stack services and fiber optic cabling
  • Experience in performing optical measurements and troubleshooting active transmission technology

Languages

German (Fluent)

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to travel nationwide for assignments (Monday to Friday) is mandatory.
