Job Summary
This role involves conducting advanced research for the DFG-funded project 'MiTeVi' at the Virtual Automation Lab, focusing on Mixed Reality methodologies for test case generation in the virtual commissioning of production systems. As a research associate, you will investigate how human interaction can be integrated into virtual test scenarios using extended reality (XR) approaches. Beyond research, you will contribute to the OPEN Innovation Community, a network of over 30 companies developing open online platforms for automation solutions. The position offers a unique opportunity to pursue a doctorate (PhD) while collaborating with the University of Stuttgart and regional industry partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include software development for web and 3D applications, publishing scientific findings, presenting at conferences, and supervising student theses. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree with very good grades in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable engineering discipline.

- The position is fixed-term until April 30, 2029. Employment is available from 75% to 100% of a full-time equivalent. Location is Esslingen (City Center Campus). Candidates must be eligible for the TV-L E13 salary group.
