Job Summary

This role involves conducting advanced research for the DFG-funded project 'MiTeVi' at the Virtual Automation Lab, focusing on Mixed Reality methodologies for test case generation in the virtual commissioning of production systems. As a research associate, you will investigate how human interaction can be integrated into virtual test scenarios using extended reality (XR) approaches. Beyond research, you will contribute to the OPEN Innovation Community, a network of over 30 companies developing open online platforms for automation solutions. The position offers a unique opportunity to pursue a doctorate (PhD) while collaborating with the University of Stuttgart and regional industry partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include software development for web and 3D applications, publishing scientific findings, presenting at conferences, and supervising student theses.
