Job Summary

This role is part of the SharePort project, which focuses on enhancing the resilience of Bremen's ports through dynamic resource sharing and stakeholder cooperation. As a Scientific and Technical Project Associate, you will be responsible for developing a security concept within an application scenario, supporting the creation of business simulation games, and implementing the necessary IT components. Your day-to-day tasks will involve analyzing port infrastructure, researching hardware and software components, and modeling role-based access controls. You will work independently on various work packages while collaborating closely with project partners. This position is particularly attractive for those looking to combine practical IT implementation with research, as it offers the opportunity for further academic qualification, such as a master's degree, within a vibrant university community. The role is based at the University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven and is fixed-term until June 2027.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the setup and control of virtual machines on Linux hosts
  • Experience in modeling role-based access control systems
  • Experience in implementing LAMP-based web services and backend databases
  • Experience in independent concept development for digital infrastructures
  • Experience in scientific writing and research project participation is preferred
  • Experience with Docker and protection requirement analysis is desirable

Additional
