Job Summary

The INM - Leibniz Institute for New Materials is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the 'RevEl' project, focusing on the development of reversible binders for circular energy storage. The successful candidate will work within the Structure Formation Group to replace PTFE-based binders with fluorine-free nanocomposites that enable direct recycling of battery electrodes. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing thermoplastic polymer-nanofiller composites, engineering fibrillar network structures, and establishing structure-property relationships through advanced characterization. This role is highly interdisciplinary, integrating polymer science, interfacial mechanics, and chemical design to create industrially scalable dry electrode processes.
