Job Summary

As an IT Enterprise Architect for Grid Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the energy transition at TenneT. Your primary responsibility involves developing, coordinating, and aligning the target architecture for the 'Operate the Grid' sector. You will be tasked with creating strategic roadmaps, designing integration and platform strategies, and ensuring architectural consistency across complex IT landscapes. Beyond technical design, you will act as a consultant and governor for other IT architects, actively participating in and evolving architecture boards and communities of practice. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys working at the intersection of high-availability business-critical systems and modern technology patterns. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define common capabilities and evaluate new initiatives against the long-term architectural vision. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study. TOGAF or ArchiMate certifications are considered an advantage.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience as a Domain or Enterprise Architect within complex IT landscapes
  • Proven experience in the integration and modernization of application landscapes
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing high-availability and business-critical systems
  • Experience in translating business processes into technical IT architectures
  • Experience working with modern technology patterns including Cloud, APIs, and Eventing

Additional

  • Regular travel readiness required (approx. 1-2 days per month) to locations in Lehrte, Bayreuth, or Dachau. Candidates must be prepared for a multi-stage interview process, with the first interview conducted entirely in English.
