Job Summary
As an Electronics Technician at the Kirchhoff Institute for Physics, you will play a vital role in developing sophisticated instrumentation for national and international particle physics research projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the end-to-end development of electronic assemblies, ranging from initial circuit design and PCB layout to the manufacturing and commissioning of prototypes and small series. You will utilize various tools and machinery to build and repair systems used in physical experiments. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and is interested in contributing to scientific discovery. Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker) in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the development of electronic circuits including digital, analog, and mixed-signal systems
- Practical experience in the planning, construction, and testing of electronic systems
- Experience using standard PCB design software
- Experience with common workshop tools and electronic measuring devices
- Experience in microcontroller or control programming is preferred
