Job Summary

This full-time research position at the University of Rostock's Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering focuses on the SFB Elaine B06b project. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research on accelerator architectures for electrically active implants, specifically targeting bone regeneration and deep brain stimulation. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing SystemC models for digital and analog accelerators, implementing AI algorithms, and evaluating energy efficiency using RRAM technologies. A unique aspect of this role is the explicit goal of achieving a doctoral degree (PhD) within the three-year contract period. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment, publishing research results and participating in the ELAINE priority program. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree, Diploma, or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with excellent grades.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the design and evaluation of digital logic and circuits
  • Experience in developing algorithmic processes and AI methods for signal processing
  • Practical experience with programming and scripting languages (SystemC, C++, Python, Bash)
  • Previous experience in scientific project work and academic publishing is preferred
  • Experience with version control tools like Git is desirable
