Job Summary

As a High Voltage Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical planning and implementation of Large-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Your daily responsibilities include designing high-voltage grid connections, developing detailed facility layouts and Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), and ensuring technical feasibility for customer inquiries. You will act as a key technical consultant, collaborating closely with sales, project management, and external partners such as EPC contractors and grid operators (TSOs/DSOs). This role is unique for its focus on cutting-edge renewable energy infrastructure, offering the chance to work on high-impact international projects like solar-plus-storage and hydrogen initiatives. You will ensure full compliance with German Grid Codes (VDE) and international standards while leading technical discussions on grid studies and energy system models. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in high-voltage transmission, distribution network planning, or substation design
  • Experience in regulatory coordination with transmission and distribution grid operators (TSO/DSO)
  • Proven track record in creating technical specifications and defining plant requirements in cooperation with EPC partners
  • Professional experience in technical feasibility assessment and customer consulting
