Job Summary
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of innovative test systems for the power electronics industry. Working for a dynamic spin-off of the TU Chemnitz, your daily responsibilities will include using CAD software to create custom test bench designs, ensuring ergonomic and safety standards, and overseeing the CE certification process. You will collaborate closely with a specialized team to translate technical requirements into functional hardware, producing detailed technical drawings and documentation for production. This role is particularly attractive for professionals interested in cutting-edge technologies like electromobility and renewable energy. The position offers a high degree of creative freedom within a flat hierarchy, flexible working hours with a core time model, and 30 days of annual leave. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the design of test benches, control cabinets, or similar technical products
- Proven experience using CAD software, specifically Creo Parametric
- Experience in power electronics and knowledge of relevant industry standards
- Experience in or willingness to learn CE certification processes
- Experience in creating technical drawings and bills of materials (BOM)
