Job Summary
This role involves serving as an Inhouse IT Consultant within the Group Accounting department of Salzgitter AG, one of Europe's leading steel technology and machinery groups. Based in Salzgitter, you will be responsible for the technical administration and maintenance of the SAP FC consolidation software and Business Warehouse. Day-to-day tasks include optimizing authorization management processes, preparing monthly reporting input masks, and supporting technical analyses for the Finance Board. You will act as a central point of contact for IT queries from international subsidiaries and collaborate on software release changes and new implementations. This position is particularly attractive due to its high-level reporting line to the CFO, flexible working hours with home-office options, and a comprehensive benefits package including a company gym and family-friendly services. Please note this is a temporary parental leave replacement position.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration with an IT focus, or a completed vocational training in the IT field with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT administration or consulting within a corporate environment
- Experience in group consolidation techniques and financial reporting processes
- Practical experience with SAP software at local ERP or consolidation levels
- Experience in project participation for software migration or implementation
- Experience in creating test scenarios and handling auditor inquiries
