Job Summary
This role involves joining a high-tech research project at Ansbach University focused on supporting fire departments and disaster relief teams in Germany and the Czech Republic. You will develop AI-driven algorithms for sensor evaluation and drone control to automatically monitor high-risk areas for early signs of forest fires. Day-to-day tasks include modularizing software, building hardware and software for live systems, and conducting system demonstrations. You will also collaborate with students on project work and contribute to the scientific community through publications in journals and at conferences. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Master's or University Diploma) in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision
- Experience working with Linux-based systems and software development
- Experience in algorithm development for sensor data or autonomous systems
- Experience in scientific publishing or academic research environments is implied
- Experience in teaching or supervising student projects is required
