Job Summary
As a Cost and Value Engineer Professional for Siemens' Project & Solution Business, you will lead complex internal projects focused on technical and economic optimization. Your daily responsibilities include analyzing sales projects for cost-saving potential, reviewing and optimizing specifications, and modeling electrotechnical solutions using 3D models and single-line diagrams. You will proactively acquire internal projects, advise on cost structures, and coordinate team-wide analysis activities to ensure high-quality, strategic outcomes. This role is ideal for technical experts who enjoy bridging the gap between high-end engineering and financial efficiency. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, including AI models and simulation tools, within the Smart Infrastructure portfolio. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable technical field of study.
Experience
- Long-term professional experience in the project business environment
- Extensive expertise in products, systems, and production processes, specifically within the Siemens Smart Infrastructure portfolio
- Proven experience in modeling electrotechnical solutions and bottom-up cost targeting
- Practical experience in switchgear construction, site installation, commissioning, and handover documentation
- Experience in managing projects, time, and conducting professional workshops or project acquisitions
- Professional experience using engineering and simulation tools
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel for occasional business trips (approximately 20%). Knowledge of international standards and Siemens-specific project management certification (PM@Siemens) is preferred.
