Job Summary

This role is based at a pharmaceutical company in the Ludwigshafen area and focuses on the quality control of biological products. As a Scientist I/II, you will be responsible for reagent qualification, validation, and sample analysis using cell-based bioassays, such as cytotoxicity assays and binding assays like ELISA. Your day-to-day activities involve the independent execution and documentation of tests within a GMP-regulated environment, ensuring all procedures comply with established operating protocols. Beyond laboratory work, you will manage lab organization tasks, including equipment qualification and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for laboratory devices. You will work collaboratively with local and global teams, presenting results and participating in interdisciplinary meetings. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biology Laboratory Technician or a comparable qualification; alternatively a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology or a related scientific field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment
  • Practical experience in eukaryotic cell culture and freezing cell aliquots
  • Demonstrated experience in designing experiments and statistical data analysis
  • Experience in the independent execution and documentation of laboratory reports
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience required for Bachelor's degree holders; no prior experience required for Master's degree holders
