Job Summary

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for safeguarding the digital infrastructure of a regional utility provider. Your daily activities involve monitoring the security landscape to identify threats early and managing incident response measures to ensure rapid containment and recovery. You will take a hands-on role in administering Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel to enhance endpoint protection and monitoring depth. Additionally, you will operate the Tenable vulnerability management system, prioritizing risks and implementing system hardening measures. This role requires a blend of technical administration and strategic coordination, as you will connect new systems to the SIEM and act as a central interface for internal departments and external Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service providers.
