Job Summary
As a Technical Product Owner for Microsoft 365 at the City of Jena's IT department (KITT), you will be the strategic lead for the city's productivity and collaboration ecosystem. You will manage the entire product lifecycle for M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and the Power Platform, supporting approximately 2,000 workstations across 140 locations. Your daily responsibilities involve analyzing market trends, prioritizing migration backlogs, and designing technical architectures that align with modern security standards like Zero Trust and Conditional Access. You will act as a bridge between technical implementation and strategic decision-making, overseeing procurement, budgeting, and the automation of routine processes via PowerShell. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, IT Management, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the IT or IT service sector
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, implementation, and operation of Microsoft 365 environments
- Proven experience in managing M365 migration projects and digital workplace initiatives
- Experience in requirements analysis, specification creation, and backlog management
- Professional experience in automation and scripting using PowerShell
- Experience in agile and non-agile project planning and roadmap development

Additional
- Permanent full-time position located in Jena. Requires expertise in data protection and compliance regulations within a cloud environment. Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, MS-700, MS-102, SC-900) are highly desirable.
