Job Summary
As an IT Specialist for the City of Blieskastel, you will join the Organization Office to manage and maintain a diverse IT landscape. Your daily responsibilities will involve the administration of virtualized systems using VMware and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, alongside managing Windows Server and Exchange environments. You will provide critical 1st and 2nd level support to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining network infrastructure including switches and firewalls. A unique aspect of this role is the inter-municipal collaboration, where you will also support the IT infrastructure for the neighboring municipality of Mandelbachtal. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys independent work and structured documentation. Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) for Systems Integration or Application Development.
Experience
- Professional experience in administration of Windows Active Directory domains
- Experience in server and desktop virtualization, specifically with VMware
- Proven experience in user support and technical troubleshooting (1st and 2nd level)
- Experience with network hardware and IT security systems
- Professional experience in modern administration or E-Government environments is preferred

- Valid Class B driver's license required. The position is initially limited to a 24-month fixed-term contract with the intention of permanent employment. Must be able to work on-site and at external locations in Mandelbachtal.
