Job Summary

As an IT Onsite Support Technician, you will be the primary point of contact for hardware and software issues within the Potsdam region. Your daily responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktops, notebooks, printers, and mobile devices. You will manage service requests through a ticketing system, perform onsite error analysis, and handle the physical setup and decommissioning of workstations. Beyond technical tasks, you will provide user training and ensure secure data and profile backups. This role is ideal for a customer-oriented professional who enjoys a mix of technical problem-solving and field-based service. The position offers an attractive salary range of €40,000 - €46,000, holiday and Christmas bonuses, and the stability of a permanent contract with a leading German IT service provider managing over 600,000 workstations globally.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration), IT Systems Electronics Technician (IT Systemelektroniker), or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in Onsite Support and technical troubleshooting
  • Proven experience in handling standard IT hardware and mobile devices
  • Experience in user instruction and data/profile backup procedures
  • Professional background in processing service requests via ticketing systems

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license is required; Readiness to travel within the Potsdam area; Permanent full-time position (40 hours/week).
