Job Summary

As a Functional Safety Systems Engineer at HENSOLDT in Ulm, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of advanced radar systems for maritime and ground applications. Your daily responsibilities involve defining comprehensive safety plans, performing critical safety assessments such as FHA, FTA, and FMEA, and establishing safety requirements across various system levels. You will be instrumental in shaping system architecture, managing hazard tracking systems, and compiling safety evidence for Safety Case Reports. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to integrate safety concerns into testing specifications and verification methods. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in functional safety (FHA, SSA, SSPP, FMEA) within aerospace, nuclear, rail, or automotive industries
  • Experience in requirements engineering using tools such as DOORS is desirable
  • Experience in the development of radar systems and signal/data processing is preferred
  • Proven experience working in multidisciplinary and multinational team environments
