Job Summary

This role involves managing the end-to-end procurement process for the Medical Service of Rhineland-Palatinate, with a specific focus on IT-related acquisitions. You will be responsible for processing procurement requests, conducting direct awards, and overseeing the entire ordering process from administrative handling to supplier evaluation. A key part of the position includes supporting national IT tenders and identifying optimization potential through framework agreements. You will act as a central point of contact for internal departments to coordinate orders and maintain procurement catalogs. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in public administration or technical fields who have experience in public procurement law (UVgO). Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in public administration, a commercial field, or a technical field.

Experience

  • Extensive professional experience in operational procurement, preferably within public sector organizations.
  • Professional experience in IT-specific procurement and hardware/software purchasing.
  • Practical knowledge of public procurement regulations (UVgO) and relevant case law.
  • Experience in creating product-neutral performance descriptions for IT services.
  • Proven track record in negotiation and supplier relationship management.
