Job Summary

As a Technical Associate in Elecsys Test Development at Roche's Penzberg site, you will join the 'On Market Products / Product Quality' sub-chapter within the R&D Core Lab Development network. Your primary responsibility is supporting the revision and optimization of approved Elecsys assays on cobas e platforms to meet high customer and regulatory standards. Day-to-day, you will independently plan and execute sophisticated development tasks using protein chemical and immunological methods. This includes evaluating and documenting test results under strict quality management guidelines and presenting findings in project meetings. Working within a stable team following SAFe methodologies, you will also handle complex laboratory analyzers and infectious materials (S2 level). This role is particularly attractive as it offers the chance to work on a high-revenue diagnostic portfolio that directly impacts patient diagnosis and treatment, all within a culture that values personal expression and proactive initiative. The position is initially limited to a two-year contract.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a comparable field; or a qualification as a Certified Technician in Biotechnology, or equivalent knowledge through several years of professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in immunology and protein chemistry
  • Practical experience with various analytical laboratory procedures
  • Experience operating complex laboratory and analysis equipment, specifically cobas analyzers
  • Experience using software-based control and evaluation tools
  • Experience handling human pathogenic material (biological safety level S2) is preferred
