Job Summary

As a Senior Linux Kernel & Networking Engineer at partimus GmbH, you will be a key contributor to building and operating high-performance virtualization and network platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve deep-diving into the Linux Kernel Network Stack to develop, maintain, and upstream patches for Free Range Routing (FRR). You will utilize eBPF for low-level observability and performance debugging while integrating these solutions into virtualization stacks like Proxmox. This role is unique because it offers the opportunity to actively contribute to open-source projects and work on low-level networking challenges beyond standard infrastructure operations. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to design robust, production-ready software-defined networking (SDN) solutions, moving between kernel-level development and high-level integration. The position is highly attractive for technical experts who enjoy debugging where others stop, offering a salary of up to €110,000 and the flexibility of remote work within Germany.
