Job Summary
The City and State Library of Potsdam (SLB) is seeking an IT and Specialized Application Coordinator to manage its technical infrastructure and library management systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of hardware and software, ensuring system availability, and performing error analysis. You will take a lead role in integrating new hardware, developing IT security policies, and managing the library management system (OCLC BIBLIOTHECAnext). The position serves as a vital bridge between internal departments and external service providers, driving the implementation of new digital processes and tools. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or FH degree in Computer Science, Library Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience, ideally within a public administration environment
- Proven experience in the administration of IT systems and hardware/software components
- Practical experience in implementing IT projects
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex IT infrastructures and specialized software
- Experience in conducting training measures and providing technical support

Additional
- Willingness to work late shifts and occasional on-call telephone duty is required. The position is based in Potsdam and follows the TVöD-VKA collective agreement.
