As a Public Transport Policy Advisor, you will play a central role in the development and management of mobility concepts within the public transport sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing statutory compensation payments, handling concessions, and overseeing timetable approvals. You will be responsible for complex accounting logic, including modern frameworks like the 'Deutschlandticket', and ensuring compliance with transport service contracts. Beyond administrative tasks, you will act as a strategic liaison between transport companies, authorities, and political bodies, preparing committee documents and responding to inquiries from the public and media. This position is ideal for those who enjoy shaping regional mobility infrastructure and navigating the intersection of law, economics, and public service. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Economics, Administrative Sciences, Law, Geography, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the public transport environment, such as with transport companies, transport associations, or public administration
  • Experience in managing statutory compensation, concessions, and timetable approvals
  • Proven experience in contract management and monitoring contractual provisions
  • Experience in coordinating with transport stakeholders, authorities, and political bodies
  • Practical knowledge of the public transport market in Baden-Württemberg is preferred
