Job Summary
As an IT System Administrator for VBS, you will be a key player in modernizing public transport mobility in the Schussental region. You will be responsible for the analysis, operation, and administration of the IT infrastructure, specifically focusing on Intermodal Transport Control Systems (ITCS) and Dynamic Passenger Information (DFI) displays. Your day-to-day involves planning and implementing new IT solutions, managing external service providers, and providing 1st-level support for both hardware and software issues. This role is unique as it bridges the gap between traditional IT administration and specialized public transit technology, requiring collaboration with workshops and traffic planning departments. The position offers a secure, permanent contract under the TV-N collective agreement, featuring attractive benefits like a 13th-month salary, company pension, and support with temporary housing for newcomers.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or a comparable professional qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system integration or a related technical field
- Experience in managing network structures and digital interfaces
- Experience with ITCS systems (specifically IVU/DFI/IBIS) is highly preferred
- Experience with onboard IT, vehicle electronics, or communication systems in public transport is an advantage
- Proven ability to read and interpret cable and circuit diagrams
- Experience in coordinating external service providers and ensuring service quality
