Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the independent development of electrical control concepts for high-end woodworking machinery. Your daily responsibilities include selecting and dimensioning electrical components, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, and creating detailed circuit diagrams using EPLAN P8 (3D). You will also be responsible for the 3D digital twin layout of control cabinets, including wire and cable routing using EPLAN Pro Panel. Beyond design, you will manage external development contracts, perform commissioning and testing of prototypes, and ensure a smooth transition of designs into series production. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys a mix of digital design and hands-on testing. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge 'Digital Twin' technology and provides a competitive salary based on the metal trade collective agreement, with significant room for overpayment based on individual expertise.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical education in the field of Electrical Engineering (e.g., HTL/Higher Technical College degree or equivalent)
Experience
- Professional experience in the development of electrical control concepts
- Practical experience with E-CAD systems, specifically EPLAN
- Experience in the selection and dimensioning of electrical components
- Experience in prototype testing and commissioning
- Experience in managing external development projects
