As a Laboratory Specialist within the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) unit, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of diagnostic reagent production. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve solving complex technical issues related to DNA/RNA analytics, supporting production and quality control departments, and driving process optimizations. You will be tasked with identifying technical and economic improvements, presenting results to international teams, and ensuring all laboratory activities comply with strict regulatory frameworks like FDA and ISO standards. This position is ideal for a proactive scientist who enjoys a mix of hands-on laboratory work and strategic process improvement. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a comparable natural science field; or completed vocational scientific training with several years of professional experience (e.g., as a Technician).

Experience

  • Professional experience in molecular biology and nucleic acid analytics
  • Experience in a laboratory environment, specifically with (q)PCR or sequencing technologies
  • Experience working within regulated environments such as FDA, USDA, or DIN/ISO standards
  • Proven track record in process optimization and problem-solving in a production context
  • Experience in presenting technical results to local and international teams
