Job Summary

This role involves developing safety-critical, technologically advanced hardware for the aviation industry at a leading systems supplier in Überlingen. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept development and circuit design to certification and series production. Working within agile, interdisciplinary teams, you will analyze customer requirements, design hardware architectures, and perform simulations and calculations. A key part of the role includes the integration, commissioning, and verification of boards and devices, as well as the creation of aviation-specific documentation. This position is particularly attractive for experienced engineers looking to work on innovative aerospace projects involving complex analog and digital designs. The role offers the opportunity to optimize designs for EMC and signal integrity while utilizing modern development tools in a highly professional environment focused on safety-critical aircraft applications.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in electronics development
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware design for aviation applications, preferably safety-critical systems
  • Mandatory experience using Cadence Allegro
  • Proven experience with aviation standards DO-254 and DO-160
  • Experience in Requirements Engineering and the verification/validation of development results
  • Professional experience in circuit design, simulation, and hardware integration
